Senior Business Development Manager

A Senior Business Development Manager is required for an innovative electricity retail business for commercial and industrial customers. They enable their customers to connect to the wholesale market with alternate ways to buy electricity. 

The Senior Business Development Manager, based in Melbourneis part of the National Sales team and will be generating sales opportunities from large energy users in the C&I market through renewable Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) that deliver cheaper electricity and then firming contracts for the balance. This offering is supported by providing transparency and control to the customer of their electricity use through live data feeds, alerts and automation. They are on a significant growth path and the role requires a solution seller with experience in building senior level B2B relationships. 

Specifically, the Senior BDM will: 

  • Undertake direct sales to larges corporates for PPAs and develop a prospect list that results in meeting sales targets 
  • Target suitable industry segments and key decision makers at the C-Level in the target corporate.  
  • Develop and maintain a sales pipeline as is required to meet the sales targets  
  • Attend meetings, seminars and conferences relevant to target market 
  • Develop proposals and presentations suitable for CEO/CFO level

Commercial and Investment Director, Power Generation

They will be expected to lead and support new power generation asset investment initiatives already underway and proposed in Australia as well as support the construction and operation team in respect of existing projects. The Director’s responsibilities will be:

  • Project management of acquisition opportunities/divestments including due diligence and negotiation of sale and purchase agreements and shareholder agreements
  • Coordination of the structuring and price setting process for bids to potential off-takers
  • Preparation, structuring and execution of financing/refinancing plans for existing and new projects on a portfolio or individual basis including leading negotiations with banks/financial institutions
  • Risk allocation, bankability, optimisation & tax structuring for existing/new projects
  • Maintain and develop existing relationships with debt providers, potential investors, potential off-takers, EPC contractors, distribution companies, landholders and governments
  • Oversight of the valuation/financial analysis of existing development projects/new investments

The successful candidate will provide internal and external support on product and technology aspects for the company’s product range.

The Solar PV System Engineer will:

  • Assist both engineering/product manager and sales team with preparing technical aspects of commercial project proposals;

Your experience should include:

  • Strong hands-on experience in technical sales, product/technology training and aftersales support;
